In a quiet meadow, there stood a big, old willow tree. Its branches swayed gently in the night breeze, making a soft, whisper-like sound.
One evening, a little robin named Ruby couldn’t sleep. She fluttered from branch to branch, too restless to close her eyes.
The wise old willow noticed Ruby’s trouble. In a low, gentle voice, it began to sing:
“Swish, swish, sway and sweep, Time for little birds to sleep. Moonbeams dance on dewy grass, As the nighttime hours pass.”
Ruby listened, her eyes growing heavy. The willow’s leaves continued their soothing song:
“Stars twinkle high above, Wrapping the world in love. Nestled safe in branches tall, Sweet dreams come to one and all.”
The little robin felt her worries melt away. She snuggled into a cozy nook between the willow’s branches.
The tree’s lullaby floated on the cool night air:
“Rest your wings and close your eyes, Dreams await in starlit skies. Morning sun will come once more, But now it’s time for dream-filled snores.”
Ruby’s eyes slowly closed. She drifted off to sleep, rocked gently by the willow’s swaying branches.
All through the night, the willow watched over Ruby and the other sleeping creatures of the meadow. Its leaves rustled softly, a constant, calming whisper in the quiet night.
As you lie in your bed, imagine you can hear the willow’s gentle song. Let it soothe you, just like it soothed Ruby. Feel your body relax, your breathing slow. The willow’s lullaby is for you too, guiding you towards peaceful dreams.
Swish, swish, sway and sweep. Time for little ones to sleep.
