In a lush green valley surrounded by tall mountains lived a little girl named Lily. She was known for her beautiful singing voice, but also for sometimes telling little lies to get her way.
One day, while walking in the mountains, Lily decided to practice her singing. As her voice rang out, she heard it echo back to her. Amazed, she called out, “Hello! Who’s there?”
The echo replied, “Who’s there?”
Lily, feeling mischievous, shouted, “I’m the most beautiful singer in the world!”
To her surprise, the echo responded, “That’s not entirely true.”
Confused, Lily asked, “What do you mean? Can’t you just repeat what I say?”
The echo answered, “I’m the Echo of Truth. I can only repeat what’s honest.”
Lily felt embarrassed. She realized that deep down, she knew she wasn’t the best singer in the world, even if she was very good.
Curious, Lily decided to test the Echo of Truth. She said, “I never tell lies.”
The echo was silent.
Lily sighed and admitted, “Okay, sometimes I don’t tell the whole truth.”

Lily spent the afternoon talking with the Echo of Truth, discovering that being honest felt much better than telling lies. She learned about herself and the importance of truthfulness.
As the sun began to set, Lily thanked the Echo of Truth for the lesson. On her way home, she decided to always strive for honesty, even when it was difficult.
The next day, when her mom asked if she had finished her homework, Lily was tempted to lie. But remembering the Echo of Truth, she admitted she hadn’t completed it yet and promised to do so right away.
To her surprise, her mom appreciated her honesty and offered to help. Lily realized that telling the truth not only felt good but also brought her closer to others.
From that day on, Lily became known not just for her beautiful voice, but for her honest and trustworthy nature. And sometimes, on quiet days, she would visit the mountains to sing with the Echo of Truth, celebrating the beautiful harmony of honesty.
