Emma loved writing stories, but one morning, something strange happened. When she opened her notebook, all the letters jumped off the page!
“We’re tired of being bossed around,” said A. “We quit!”
The letters marched out of Emma’s room, leaving her stunned. Outside, chaos erupted. Street signs became blank. Books lost their words. Even Emma’s mom’s shopping list turned into a blank piece of paper.
Emma chased after the letters, begging them to come back. “But without you, how will people communicate?” she asked.
“They’ll figure it out,” Z said with a shrug.
As the day went on, people tried drawing pictures to communicate, but it was slow and confusing. The town grew quiet without chatter and laughter.
Emma had an idea. She gathered everyone in the town square and whispered her plan.
Soon, people were arranging themselves to form giant living letters. From above, you could read: WE NEED YOU, LETTERS!
The letters, who were lounging in the park, saw the message and were touched. They realized they were important after all.
“Maybe we were too hasty,” said S. “Writing stories is actually fun!”
The letters apologized and returned to their proper places. Emma promised to take better care of them, giving them regular breaks and using them to write kind words.
From that day on, Emma appreciated the power of letters, and the whole town valued communication more. And if you look closely, you might see the letters in your books wink at you – they know how special they are!
