In a bathroom cup lived a family of toothbrushes. The smallest one, Bristles, was always scared of the dark, germy mouth.
One night, Bristles heard a tooth crying. “What’s wrong?” Bristles asked.
“I have a cavity, and it hurts,” sniffled the tooth.
Bristles knew this was important. Taking a deep breath, the little toothbrush said, “I’ll help you!”
Bristles worked hard, scrubbing away all the germs around the sore tooth. It was dark and a bit scary, but Bristles kept going.
When morning came, the tooth felt much better. “Thank you, Bristles! You’re so brave!”
From that day on, Bristles wasn’t afraid anymore, knowing that being brave meant helping others, even when it’s a little scary.
